ELM System - Components for Sensory Supervision - Overview

These components cover sensory supervision. Sensor components of the ELM system are generic. No special sensors or interface controller are required and there is no dependence of a specific manufacturer. Any simple transducer that can produce 0 – 7.5 V DC can be used. (The input is protected against overload from -25..+30V.) The conversion of the measured voltage into the range of the physical measurand is carried out by software.

EMKA Electronic provides several specific sensors for the most usual tasks. - Click on a link for a detailed description of these sensors:

Temperature sensors

Climatic sensors (combined temperature and humidity sensors)

Smoke detectors

Acceleration/Tilt sensors

Sensors for monitoring and observation of mains power

Switched socket outlets with/without observation of mains power

Flat reed contacts as digital sensor

An upper as well as a lower set point can be defined individually for every sensor component. A relay contact can be assigned to each set point which then becomes powered when the sensor value exceeds the set point. Furthermore, each set point can be assigned to one of two alarm lines.

Sensor components are available on the following modules:
