Abstract

The module implements a Communication component and 2 Switching Components.

The communication module 3000-U14 is the central processor module of an ELM system. Furthermore, it provides interfaces to PC/Workstations. An Ethernet network interface as well as an serial RS 232 interface is provided.

The data memory of the module holds the system configuration of the ELM system. Depended on alarm conditions, 2 relays with switch over contacts are powered. LED's gives visual feedback about the state of the module.

Housing Versions
3000-U14-00 is supplied unencapsulated, but in a housing rail for top hat rail mounting, and is intended for single wire connections ("KIT").
3000-U14-01 is supplied only as a build-in part of a 19’’ rack mount unit.
3000-U14-02 is supplied encased in a closed housing with a plug connector system ("BOX").

Connectable devices and accessories are:

Actors for the Switching Components

As a reaction of activating/deactivating an alarm line, an assigned relay is switched over. They have both a switch over contact which can switch up to 0,5A at 125 V AC / 1A at 30V DC. A connectable unit for switching mains power is available.

Switched socket outlet

Electrical outlet unit with a relay contact that switches mains power on/off for plugged devices. It is used as an amplifier for Relay Output Components of ELM modules.
